“A tan is basically a protective mechanism adopted by the skin, whereby
the melanin pigment from the basal layer comes to the surface in order to
absorb the ultraviolet rays of the sun. As long as the exposure to these rays
continues, it will be difficult to get rid of your tan. Sun blocks do not
prevent tanning, they simply delay the process. You should try to prevent
direct sunlight by using a parasol and keeping indoors during the peak of the
day.”
